Though I’ve made a career out of book publishing, my real passion lies in worship + songwriting. In December of 2008, in the throes of drug addiction, I walked into a church for the first time. I radically encountered the Lord in the time of worship, immediately flushed my drugs, and completely left behind the life I was leading. Hallelujah! A few years later, I started leading worship with the burning desire to see people set free, healed, and delivered in the presence of God, knowing that a story like mine could be happening at any time. In 2012, I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease and spent the majority of the next seven years in and out of a wheelchair, mostly bedridden and fearful of the future. It was during that time that I started discovering the songwriters behind the songs of healing I clung to, and a passion for writing from the suffering was born. Now, I have the immense privilege of writing for artists, churches, and projects, and I have been coaching songwriters for the last two years.
